Does any body know if the following equations are used for specific cases like binomial, geometric, etc or used generally? E[X+Y]=E[X]+E[Y] E[aX]= E[X] a Var [aX]= Var[X] a^2 Var [X]=E[X^2]-E[X]^2 Thanks!

There's suppose to be space between the equations, don't know why it's not showing
